In May of 1972, we got the green light from the UC Board of Regents, and we were under construction!

We started with a one-piece mold, 24' in diameter. About like building a boat.	... We tried to pull the part out of the mold by hand. (Actually, it took a crane.)
... Pouring the floors -- concrete pads.	... Getting the plumbing set up.
... Building the kitchen bathroom core units ...	... Was this choreographed?
... We laid out the utilities in trenches. It was hard to get around for a while.	Now wasn't that easy?!

That winter it snowed!
